Canoe Restaurant, one of Canada’s critically acclaimed best restaurants, is part of the Oliver and Bonacini collection of restaurants in Toronto. Created by Peter Oliver, a successful Toronto restaurateur and Chef, Oliver Bonocini, the partnership has been a successful one since 1993. Canoe can be described as being the most unique of the Oliver and Bonacini brand, primarily for its location. Sitting high atop the TD Bank Tower in Toronto’s financial district, Canoe delivers great food and breathtaking views of the city. The restaurant’s Executive Chef, Anthony Walsh and Chef de Cuisine, John Horne, bring years of culinary experience, awards and distinction, guaranteeing a dining experience reminiscent of Canadian cuisine.
A popular restaurant of choice for business meetings and workers in the downtown core, Canoe is also a great place to enjoy a lunch date. Its lunch menu consists of a large array of both starters and mains-different from a standard lunch menu. Dishes such as Canoe Shrimp Cocktail paired with spiced white cabbage, tomato preserve and horseradish and Wild Mushroom Soup served with fresh thyme and truffle are just some of the lunch starters. Lunch mains are equally as delicious consisting of dishes such as Yarmouth Lobster & Chicken Pot Pie, Skin Roasted Heritage Salmon, and Truffle Ricotta Ravioli, just to name a few.
Canoe’s Dinner and Tasting menu, also consists of unique starters and rich mains. Dishes such as Alberta Lamb Loin, Wellington County Beef Tenderloin, and Qualicum Beach Scallops are just some of the many tasty and elegantly crafted dishes at Canoe Restaurant. Also available for dinner are cheese platters and pre-set menus paired with specific wines.
Canoe has a great wine menu, consisting of some of best wines in Canada and established wine estates around the world. Canoe’s Sommelier, William Predhomme has selected wines that enhance Canoe’s distinct Canadian cuisine. The restaurant also offers a selection of dessert wines and liqueurs, loose leaf teas, specialty coffees, premium espressos, and delicious desserts ranging from cakes, tarts, and freshly churned ice creams.
