
The much-loved books by C.S. Lewis and blockbuster Disney films come to life at the Buffalo Museum of Science with the Chronicles of Narnia exhibit running now until May 8, 2011. The 5,000 square-foot Chronicles of Narnia exhibit, complete with a state-of-the-art entertainment and educational experience, gives visitors the opportunity to visit the literary world of the series like no other.
The exhibition features authentic costumes, props and set dressings from the two films. Visitors will also be able to enter a three-dimensional world combining the mystery of science and fantasy for the ultimate Narnia experience. If you loved the book and the films, then this is your chance to tour the scenes that made the "Chronicles of Narnia" a success and favorite for people around the world.
This one-of-a-kind exhibit is a hands-on, interactive-learning experience where visitors have the chance to see film mementos and learn about such topics as geography, archeology, engineering, humanity’s impact on nature and environmental changes.
The exhibition has several highlights including articles from author Lewis’ personal study, including the famous and magical walk-in wardrobe, a replica of the White Witch’s throne (where visitors can sit on the icy throne and learn about the impact of climate change), an area where visitors can use a real working catapult similar to those used during medieval times, and an area highlighting the mythical creatures of Narnia (visitors can create their own characters).
This captivating exhibition has something for all ages. Combining educational components and a tribute to the classic books and films through interactive elements, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Exhibition" is an entertaining learning experience.
