Canada Blooms 2011: Experience Spring Early



Celebrating its 15th Anniversary, Canada Blooms returns to Toronto’s Direct Energy Centre from March 16-20, 2011.  A sea of beautiful and bright colours will be on display for visitors to enjoy as the spring and summer seasons approach and the gardening begins.  As Canada’s largest flower and garden festival, Canada Blooms 2011 continues to impress with six acres of gardens in full bloom, more than 100,000 square feet of garden-related shopping, a variety of workshops, seminars and demonstrations and much more.

Whether you’re an avid garden lover, attempting to grow a garden for the first time, or simply enjoy the colours of spring, Canada Blooms has something for everyone to enjoy every year.  Some of the highlights you can expect to see at this year’s festival include:

2011 Festival Theme “Rhythms”:  Canada Blooms celebrates the JUNO’s 40th anniversary, with a display of 20 gardens designed in a range of floral instruments, musical notes and more to pay tribute to Canada’s biggest music awards.

Garden Exhibits:  Over 250 garden exhibitors present the latest in gardening and horticultural products.

Flower Show:  Presented by Garden Club of Toronto, this is Canada’s largest flower show, featuring 10 International competitors from Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and the United States.

Canada Blooms Educational Series:  Join some of the Canada’s premier garden experts as they offer visitors free gardening seminars.  Speakers include:  Mark Cullen, Frank Ferragine, Paul Zammitt, Charlie Dobbin and many more.

Twinings Tea Garden:  Sit and relax as you enjoy the surrounding scenery and taste the world’s finest teas, pastries, and other goodies.

Gardens For Living Natural Playground:  Bring the kids along and enjoy a variety of family experiences in this new Canada Blooms garden.
