The Sultan's Tent: Moroccan all the way

Jul 8, 2010

Located in one of Toronto’s only remaining historic cast iron buildings, The Sultan’s Tent is in the heart of downtown Toronto.  Rich, colourful, and majestic in ambience, it is a magical place to enjoy a delicious Moroccan meal.  Graced with hand-woven Moroccan rugs, silks, and linens draping the restaurants walls, floors, and tables, the romantically dimly lit atmosphere is reminiscent of historic Moroccan culture and decor.

A dining experience at The Sultan’s Tent is complete with an array of traditional Moroccan cuisine, romantic setting, and belly dancers who provide guests with performances throughout the week.  It’s dining and entertainment combined -- an experience like no other.

The Sultan’s Tent offers first, second, third and fourth course meals.  First course meals have a range of tasty appetizers, second courses offer great Moroccan delights such as hummus, crab cake, and chickpea battered shrimp.  Even more authentic Moroccan food is at hand in the third course selections. Everything from couscous, mango salmon, braised lamb, seafood, and much more is available.

All dishes are cooked in Moroccan spices and flavours unique to The Sultan’s Tent.  Fourth course meals are an array of desserts including a selection of traditionally made Moroccan cookie and pastries.  The Sultan’s Tent is also home to Cafe Moroc, The Bar at The Sultan’s Tent, which is a perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat.  It has a full menu including starters, entrees, specialty sandwiches and desserts.  With a great ranging menu, the only question you’ll be asking yourself is, what to order?

HelloToronto Tip:  Be sure to check out The Sultan’s Tent belly dancing shows.  Performances run on Sunday at 6:15pm and 8:45pm, Monday-Thursday at 6:45pm and 9:15pm, Fridays & Saturday’s at 6:15pm, 8:45pm, and 11:00pm.
